Edgar Hernandez - mentee artist

Edgar is a young Indigenous artist from Guatemala who has made Ottawa his home for many years. He is a graduate of the University of Ottawa and active in the local arts community. Here is a pic of him teaching gesture movement drawing of our plant relations in the ecosystems gardens beside the Museum of Nature. This plant is wild chives of the wild onions family and soon after the public launch of an exciting new project we will be sharing more about how we will use social distancing practices to teach arts and create a sense of community!
